Venice Orientation Lagoon Tour with Transfer to Airport

Disembark, meet your tour guide and drop off your luggage at their storage facility to start the tour. Venice is composed of more than 100 tiny islets, packed closely together around canals. Venice city is in a lagoon, protected from the sea by a long strip of land called the Lido. You will visit two islands- Murano and Burano. Nearly half of the lagoon's islands are deserted but the main islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello are well worth a visit. In 1291, when furnaces were banned from Venice as a fire precaution, the manufacturers of fine glassware were transferred to Murano. Glassware was one of the few Venetian exports and as such, the secrets of this skillful craft were tightly guarded. Glassmaking was considered a privileged occupation, and glass artisans were allowed to marry into the nobility. Today, the Murano products of blown-glass mirrors, chandeliers, goblets, and intricate works of art are renowned worldwide. There will be time for a visit to one of the many workshops and for shopping. The island of Burano will be next. Brightly painted houses decorate this small and cheerful fishing village. Burano is well known for its lace-making. In the 16th century, the lace industry was at its peak, and Burano was cited throughout Europe for producing the finest lace. You will have the chance to admire these beautiful works that require hours of labor, and maybe even purchase some, if you like. At the end, motor launch will transfer you back to the port where your luggage will be ready to be re-collected, you will then board your private vehicle to the airport. Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a sun hat.

Rovinj, Experience Istria

The hilly Istrian inland is romantic, mystical and simply beautiful. From Rovinj you will drive 60 minutes by coach to Motovun, an astonishing architectural landmark. This hilltop town has preserved its medieval ambiance in its narrow streets within the town walls which have been preserved in their entire length. Walk along Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance buildings to the main square dominated by the 13th century belfry of St. Stephen's Church. Free time in Motovun is followed by a scenic drive to the Stefanic village. At Stefanic Agroturism, which is located on the picturesque slopes near Motovun in a natural and traditional environment, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch which will include delicious local truffle specialties and Istrian wine. Reboard your coach once again and you will take in the picturesque countryside as you make your way back to the ship. Please note: This tour involves moderate walking and negotiating up to 100 steps. Split, Sea Safari of Trogir & Ciovo Island by Rib Boat

Take a thrilling boat ride to visit the past and see beauty of the sea during this half-day outing. Departing the pier, begin your tour with a fast inflatable boat ride along the Split Riviera towards the Town of Trogir, situated on a small island squeezed in between the mainland and the larger island of Ciovo. The tiny island is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Except for the green parks, the entire island is occupied by spectacular constructions of stone-houses, palaces, churches, monasteries, towers, walls etc. The streets are narrow and they truly give a feel of how life may have been in the past. During your visit, you will see the main attraction in Trogir - the Cathedral of St. Lawrence. This 13th century building is probably the finest example of sacral architecture in Croatia. Split, Krka National Park Highlights

Leaving the town of Split, you will take a 75-minute drive by coach to the famous Krka River Waterfalls. Located in lovely Krka National Park, the falls cascade over 17 natural barriers. Krka is one of the seven National Parks in Croatia and was formed to protect the Krka River. The whole area is rich with endemic species - vegetation as well as birds and fish. This tour will take you to the most attractive part of the park - the Skradinski Buk Waterfalls. The highest waterfall is 151 feet high which makes it the highest gypsum barrier in Europe. Above the falls there is a large plateau that offers spectacular views of the area. Your guided visit to the park will include a small ethnological exhibit and the old mill which is still in use. There is a path around the falls and you will have two hours of free time to explore before your 75-minute drive back to Split. Please note: The national park terrain is narrow and rough at times and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring your bathing suit as there will be an opportunity to cool off in the water if you choose.

Explore the beautiful city known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' on this walking tour. Take a walk along the Stradun, the glass-like main promenade that runs from the Pile to Ploce gates, following the line of the channel that once divided the town into two parts. Your excursion begins with a 30-minute drive to the small Baroque village of Perast for a walking tour in this pedestrian only village. See the Cathedral of St. Nicholas and other monuments including the Parish Church, the 12th century Sveti Djordje Church, and the Sveti Nikola Church, built between the 15th and 17th centuries. In a local restaurant, you'll taste some typical sweets, made from an original recipe used during the Baroque period. You will have some free time before boarding a private motor boat to Gospa od Skrpjela, a Baroque-style church situated on one of two islets in the bay of Kotor, across from Perast. The islet is man made, and its original church was built in 1452. You'll view the stunning present church, Our Lady of the Rocks, built in 1632, and enlarged in 1722. You'll see 68 magnificent paintings by Tripo Kokolja, a famous 17th century Baroque artist from Perast whose most important painting, The Death of the Virgin, is nearly 33 feet long. Messina, In the Steps of the Godfather

Leaving the pier by coach, you will begin with a brief drive through Messina for a 45-minute trip via the freeway and then motor along the coastal road bordered by villas, flowering gardens, and picturesque villages to reach Savoca. Its scenic beauty and historical-artistic heritage makes Savoca, one of the most attractive and unknown places of Taormina. In a private house in the village, "Bar Vitelli," houses a collection of local artisans' tools and photographs taken when Francis Ford Coppola shot scenes of "The Godfather II." Sorrento, Herculaneum

The city of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was founded around the 4th century B.C., copying the geometric regularity of the layout of Naples. Its "decumani" (main streets) have an east-west orientation, while the "cardines" (narrower streets) run north-south. There is undeniably a "feeling" about Herculaneum, quite different from Pompeii, where you get the impression that its ancient population of 5,000 packed up and left only moments ago. Herculaneum was smaller than Pompeii but is better preserved simply because, while hot ashes consumed the wood of Pompeii's buildings, Herculaneum was covered by hot mud which sealed and protected entire city blocks. This means that marble floors, mosaics, paintings and carbonized woods can still be admired today. You will discover the ancient luxurious properties and villas including the House of the Mosaic, the House of Deer, the Thermae (baths) and the House of Carbonized Furniture. After a guided tour, you will be driven back to meet the yacht in Sorrento. Please note: This tour involves considerable walking on uneven pathways. Bring a sun hat, as shade is limited. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Sorrento, Concierge Collection: Positano by Private Speedboat, for 10 guests

A private speedboat takes you along the coast to Positano, once a sleepy little fishing village and the secret of painters and writers. Its charm is still evident; little square, white Moorish-style houses set in luxurious gardens, descending in steep steps down the mountainside to the bay. Offshore is Galli Island, legendary home of Sirens. Positano town is embroidered with narrow lanes and steps and is dominated by the splendid dome of Santa Maria Assunta covered in polychrome majolica. Piazzetta and cafés are crowded with people relaxing after climbing the hundreds of steps up the hillside (not compulsory). Enjoy time at leisure for shopping and to sit for a drink at a café. Ride back to Sorrento by private speedboat. Please note : This tour is not for guests with physical limitations as it involves a great deal of walking over uneven terrain. However walking up the steps is optional and not required. Wear comfortable shoes, a sun hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Perhaps your choice will be a boat ride to Positano, the legendary home of the Sirens. Perched on a terrace on the spectacular Amalfi Coast, Sorrento offers exceptional views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. 

Sorrento, Discovery & Tasting

You will meet your guide at the pier and board a shuttle bus for the 15-minute drive to the center of Sorrento. This small town is wonderfully located over steep white cliffs and offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. Sorrento lies on a Tufa terrace and is enclosed by impressive rocks of the limestone mountains. For 2000 years visitors from all over the world have been attracted to Sorrento by breathtaking sunsets and the fragrances of orange and lemon gardens. Enjoy a guided visit of the old town, stroll along the colorful streets and admire the beautiful churches, the most famous the Cathedral, in Romanesque style dedicated to the Saints Giacomo and Filippo and built during the 15th century. Stop in the Main Square, Piazza Tasso, which is the center of the Sorrentine life and enjoy the wonderful panorama on the Gulf of Naples from the Gardens overlooking the port. Your shuttle bus will then take you to the farmhouse where you will experience the work of local modern farmers! Take your time to taste local fresh products such as Caprese salad, eggplants, bruschetta, local wine and limoncello. Return back by shuttle to your ship. In this enchanting city the past and present intersect in perfect harmony.
