Jul 13, 2027 — Jul 25, 2027
Starting from
VENICE → CIVITAVECCHIA, ROME
12 Nights on Wind Spirit
Indulge in rustic Italian cuisine, Roman relics and Baroque masterworks on a 11-day odyssey that combines a picturesque overland exploration of Lake Como and Venice with an extensive cruise through the Adriatic and along Italy’s West Coast. Delve into the depths of delectable Northeast Italian wine vintages and savor Amarone’s cherry and cinnamon nuances in a cool, underground Valpolicella winery. Overnight provides time to float past Venice’s romantic arched bridges and ancient alleyways on a gondola ride. Dip a kayak blade in the clear waters near old harbor walls outside Dubrovnik. Sample homemade cheeses and sausages in a family-run olive grove near Kotor. Wander between restored mosaics, broken columns and cracked pottery amid Pompeii’s storied ruins. Dine on authentic, handmade pizza while gentle coastal breezes waft through Sorrento’s aromatic citrus trees.

Popular Highlights
Devour (or at least taste) 2,000 years of history: Stones brought to life by Michelangelo, the clash of ghostly gladiators in the Colosseum and the treasures of the Vatican.
While larger ships pass by, we anchor right beyond the famous city of Dubrovnik. The entire Old Town is a UNESCO site. Discover a 14th-century pharmacy tucked away in the Franciscan Monastery.
The approach to Kotor offers one breathtaking fjord-like view after another. The timeworn, cobbled streets remain car free, leading to 12th century Baroque palaces, Romanesque churches and gorgeous gardens.
Meet your guide for a private boat tour of Lake Como, a lake that’s been a popular retreat for aristocrats since Roman times.
Explore Bellagio on your own and see the Tower of the Arts, Villa Serbelloni Park, San Giacomo Church or Loppia Beach.
Board a private transfer with an English-speaking guide to Verona to reach Cantina Mosconi Bertani, a hidden winery. And then Venice, for a walking tour of St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto area.

Add your own sigh to the Bridge of Sighs, sip a spritz al bitter as you plot your agenda, and let the water taxis do your navigating unless you don't mind getting lost. Not such a bad prospect, with serendipitous discoveries around every corner.
Venice, Mask Making Experience & St Marks Square
Venice, Mask Making Experience & St Marks Square
Experience the traditional art of Venetian mask making as you depart the pier to reach the Zattere area of Venice, walking by the Squero San Trovaso, the traditional boat house where gondolas are still built today. A short stroll through the narrow streets brings you to Ca’ Macana, one of Venice’s oldest and finest mask-making workshops, renowned worldwide for its quality and innovation, faithfully reproducing classic designs such as the bauta, moretta, harlequin, and Colombina. Their authenticity has earned recognition in films, theatre, and fashion, including Eyes Wide Shut, Fifty Shades of Grey, the Vienna Opera, and Vogue Japan. Dating back to 1271, the tradition of papier-mâché mask-making comes to life as you create and decorate your own mask under the guidance of a skilled craftsman. Afterward, continue your walking tour by crossing the Accademia Bridge, passing through charming streets, squares, and churches, before arriving at Venice’s most famous landmark, Piazza San Marco, where you’ll enjoy free time before returning to the ship by motor launch.

Your tour will continue to the exquisite Doge's Palace , the seat of the Venetian government from the 9th century until 1797. Climb the famous Golden Staircase to marvel at the paintings of Tintoretto and Veronese , and wander through the echoing Great Council Chamber where you can enjoy a splendid panorama of the St. Mark's Basin from the balcony. Venice Orientation Lagoon Tour with Transfer to Airport *

Venice Orientation Lagoon Tour with Transfer to Airport *
Disembark, meet your tour guide and drop off your luggage at their storage facility to start the tour. Venice is composed of more than 100 tiny islets, packed closely together around canals. Venice city is in a lagoon, protected from the sea by a long strip of land called the Lido. You will visit two islands- Murano and Burano . Nearly half of the lagoon's islands are deserted but the main islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello are well worth a visit. In 1291, when furnaces were banned from Venice as a fire precaution, the manufacturers of fine glassware were transferred to Murano. Glassware was one of the few Venetian exports and as such, the secrets of this skillful craft were tightly guarded. Glassmaking was considered a privileged occupation, and glass artisans were allowed to marry into the nobility. Today, the Murano products of blown-glass mirrors, chandeliers, goblets, and intricate works of art are renowned worldwide. There will be time for a visit to one of the many workshops and for shopping. The island of Burano will be next. Brightly painted houses decorate this small and cheerful fishing village. Burano is well known for its lace-making. In the 16th century, the lace industry was at its peak, and Burano was cited throughout Europe for producing the finest lace . You will have the chance to admire these beautiful works that require hours of labor, and maybe even purchase some, if you like. At the end, motor launch will transfer you back to the port where your luggage will be ready to be re-collected, you will then board your private vehicle to the airport. Please note : Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a sun hat.

Sorrento, Herculaneum *

Sorrento, Herculaneum *
The city of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was founded around the 4th century B.C., copying the geometric regularity of the layout of Naples. Its "decumani" (main streets) have an east-west orientation, while the "cardines" (narrower streets) run north-south. There is undeniably a "feeling" about Herculaneum, quite different from Pompeii, where you get the impression that its ancient population of 5,000 packed up and left only moments ago. Herculaneum was smaller than Pompeii but is better preserved simply because, while hot ashes consumed the wood of Pompeii's buildings, Herculaneum was covered by hot mud which sealed and protected entire city blocks. This means that marble floors, mosaics, paintings and carbonized woods can still be admired today. You will discover the ancient luxurious properties and villas including the House of the Mosaic , the House of Deer , the Thermae (baths) and the House of Carbonized Furniture . After a guided tour, you will be driven back to meet the yacht in Sorrento. Please note : This tour involves considerable walking on uneven pathways. Bring a sun hat, as shade is limited. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

In this enchanting city the past and present intersect in perfect harmony. Casually intermingled among ancient ruins and majestic cathedrals are the trappings of a modern metropolis: Skyscrapers, cafes, boutiques selling designer footwear. But of course what you seek first in the heart of Rome is its breathtaking history. A good place to begin is the Vatican, with its Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Works by Bernini, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, and Raphael are just a few of those on display, any one of which is worth hours of contemplation. Then the ancient ruins-Colosseum, Forum, Circus Maximus. And of course the Trevi Fountain for the obligatory coins promising your return to the Eternal City.
