Here's a day for exploration. Your ship will dock in the very city center near the oldest part of town. A short stroll will take you to Stavanger Cathedral, the best preserved medieval cathedral in Norway, the city center and cobblestone pedestrian streets. Just an hour's boat trip away is the 2,000-foot-high Pulpit Rock with its magnificent views of the lovely Lysefjord.

Stavanger, Cruise to Pulpit Rock

Directly next to your ship you will embark a boat for a cruise into one of Norway's most stunning fjord s, the so called "Fjord of the Light," or Lysefjord in Norwegian. The name comes from the lightly colored granite rock that rises sharply from the deep fjord. During your trip you can relax both outside and inside the vessel, while you marvel at the breathtaking natural wonders of this region. You will start by cruising alongside the many small islands of the Stavanger Archipelago on which many have built holiday homes with their own private piers. Leaving the archipelago, you will enter Lysefjorden with it steep sheer cliffs on both sides. From these steep cliffs many towering waterfalls spill gallons of fresh water from above into the salty fjord beneath. If weather permits you will get an amazing view of the famous Preikestolen, or Pulpit Rock , that towers out over 1,969 feet above the fjord. Your cruise will take you directly underneath the Pulpit Rock to gaze at its marveling height. Before returning to Stavanger, you'll make a short stop at Helleren, an idyllic beach at the mouth of the Lysefjord. Here you will get to enjoy some of Norway's traditional waffles which are served with sour cream and sweet local fruit jams. Please note : Life jackets will be provided on board. Stavanger, Concierge Collection: Lysefjord Rib Boat Safari

Experience the magnificent scenery along the Archipelago and view Pulpit Rock on board an open-air rigid inflatable boat (RIB). After a short walk to the RIB boat pier you will meet your captain and be given a short safety briefing before being outfitted with a weatherproof suit and life jacket. You will begin your adventure at a slow pace along the beautiful harbor of Stavanger . Once the harbor is out of sight and you have crossed underneath the Stavanger Bridge, the RIB will speed up to 30-35 knots (37 mph) and cruise along the Archipelago. During your journey you might spot some of the local wildlife like sea eagles, seals or porpoises. Once you have reached the Lysefjord you will see the narrow gap into the Vagabond Cave and view the magnificence of Pulpit Rock from sea level. Your captain will also bring you close to one of the waterfalls falling from the steep, high cliffs above. He will navigate so close that you will be able to feel, smell and even taste the pure water freshness. After a breathtaking ride close to the vertical mountain cliffs, you will head back to Stavanger, where your adventure ends in the very center of Stavanger and only a short walk away from your ship. Molde, Full Day trip to Andalsnes

Enjoy a scenic drive from Molde to Åndalsnes where you will cross the fjord by ferry to Åfarnes and make your first stop at Rødven Stave Church. The Rødven Stave Church, now the property of the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments, dates back to 1300 and is still located on its original site. You'll have the opportunity to discover the unique architecture and atmosphere of this church, which is one of only 30 surviving stave churches in Norway. Your next stop will be Woldstad Farm, where you will be warmly welcomed by your hosts. Woldstad Farm dates back to 1654, and the Woldstad family has owned and run the farm since then. Your hosts will share stories about the local history and entertain you with Norwegian folk songs before you are served a delicious 3-course lunch. Just up from the town center of Åndalsens, you will find a newly built gondola that will take you 2,323 feet (708 meters) above sea level. Arrive at Nesaksla mountain top and experience a breathtaking view of the mountains and fjord. Depart Åndalsens passing more wonderful scenery en route to Molde. The return drive includes a 15-minute ferry crossing from Åfarnes to Sølsnes. Molde, Marble Caves & Atlantic Ocean Road

Enjoy a magical visit to the magnificent Bergtatt Marble Caves. After a 45-minute scenic drive north your adventure will begin on board a small, open-air boat taking you deep into the glistening caves, crisscrossing an underground lake. The caves are decorated with beautiful lighting reflecting on the water, giving you a mystical experience. Your knowledgeable guide will inform you of the mining operations which were active from 1938-1987. You will also see a short film of how this marble mine is still operating in other parts of the mountain. During your visit you will have time to capture photos of this unique marble cavern. Continuing on by motor coach you will pass the village of Eide before entering one of the masterpieces of Norwegian engineering, the Atlantic Ocean Road. The road workers experienced 12 hurricanes during construction of the road before it was opened in 1989. Olden, Briksdal Glacier by Troll Cars

The village of Olden is situated at the end of the innermost arm of lovely Nordfjord, which cuts its way inland to the mighty ice fields of the Jostedals Glacier, Europe's largest glacier. Briksdal Glacier, your destination on this tour, is one of its arms. Leaving Olden's center by coach with your guide, you will pass two picturesque churches and the beautiful lakes Floren and Olden. At the end of the valley lies Rustøen, around which numerous waterfalls tumble from the ice field. The road ascends through woodlands to the Briksdalen Inn, where you will leave the coach. The powerful Briksdal Glacier is a part of the Jostedal Glacier National Park. The wild glacier swoops down from a height of 3,927 feet to the lush, narrow Briksdal Valley. When you arrive at Briksdal Fjellstove the "Troll cars" will be waiting to take you safely to where the road ends - at the famous glacier. It's a fantastic trip on a narrow road that crosses the foaming glacier stream twice. You will return to Briksdal Fjellstove which has been the meeting place for hill walkers and mountaineers in Briksdalen for several generations. Olden, Loen Skylift & Trek to Skredfjellet

The Loen Skylift is the fastest and easiest way to the best views in Norway. This cable car is one of the steepest cable cars in the world and offers magnificent views over the Olden and Loen Valley. You will see parts of the grand Jostedals Glacier, the largest glacier in continental Europe, maintained by the heavy snowfall in the region. You will also overlook the jade green water of the Loen and Briksdals lakes. Continuing on you will hike on a well maintained path, past the north side of Tungegjølet, a steep narrow gully that ends down at Loen. You will walk close to the steep mountainsides until you reach the peak of Skredfjellet, (1155m) above sea level. The reward that awaits you is well worth the effort - with an impressive view of inner Nordfjord. At the conclusion of your hike, sit back, relax and breathe in the mountain air as you enjoy a light refreshment at the top of Mount Hoven. Please note: Participants must be in good physical condition and should dress in layered clothing, bring rain gear and wear comfortable hiking shoes. The trail covers 3.5 miles (5.4km) round trip and is on dirt and gravel, with gradual but consistent inclines, and steps. On this introduction to lovely Bergen you will board a motor coach to sightsee through downtown Bergen with its old wooden Hanseatic pier, Bryggen, the medieval King Håkon's Hall, erected during the reign of King Håkon Håkonsson, the Rosenkrantz Tower, St. Mary's Church, built around 1170, and one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in Norway, the peninsula Nordnes, Bergen Theater (Den National Scene), and Grieghallen, the modern concert hall named after Norway's great composer, Edvard Grieg. Your tour will continue over to Kalfaret, the noble residential area of Bergen, and on to the main attraction of the day - Ulriken Mountain. Bornholm, Flavors of Bornholm

This tour will allow you to sample some of the flavors of Bornholm - including herring, wine and beer. You will start your tour with a drive through the lush countryside to the Lille Gadegård Vineyard - a very idyllic place close to the town of Åkirkeby. The vineyard, founded in 1995, is the largest in Denmark. It started by producing strawberry wine and first harvested grapes in 2002. You will get a tour of the premises, and finish with a wine tasting. Next stop is the charming village of Svaneke, located on the east coast of Bornholm, where we will stop at Svaneke Brew House, located in an old merchant's house dating back to 1750. Here you will see the beer making process and, naturally, enjoy a taste as well. Then back toward the fishing village of Gudhjem. Literally meaning "Home of God," this quaint village of only 780 permanent residents clings to the side of a rocky bay on the north eastern side of the island. Gudhjem was the first place to start smoking and exporting herrings - a tradition that was to become the "signature delicacy" of the island. Step inside Gudhjem smokehouse and enjoy a traditional smoked herring with bread andbeer. After Your gastronomic experience, return by foot to the tender jetty or stay in town at your leisure. The path will take you past "Hestestenene," the horse stones, which are three monoliths that act as navigation marks on the edge of a cliff 112 feet above the sea. You will continue through natural fores t with the bay on one side and steep cliffs on the other - ending by the rugged rock formations - Helligdomsklipperne. Here you have a chance to climb down a ladder to get a better overview of the rock formations and to get closer to the water. Then you will continue up to the Art Museum, where a well-deserved refreshment, of your own choice, will be enjoyed. You now have the choice to stay seated and enjoy the view or to have a look around the museum before returning to the pier by bus. Klaipeda is the only port in Lithuania, and they take great pride in its maritime history with tall ship regattas and a Sea Museum. You'll notice that local legends and folklore play a big role here, from the playful statues scattered about Old Town to Witches' Hill with its wooden sculptures depicting Lithuanian fairy tales.  Nearby Curonian Spit National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famed for possessing Europe's highest sand dunes.

Klaipeda: Soviet Nuclear Weapon Site

In one of the most beautiful places in the Plokstine Forest, in Zemaitija National Park , the Soviet Nuclear Weapons' Site is located. It was built under great secrecy in 1960. The site became operational in 1963. There were 4 silos, which housed surface-to-surface missiles. The Nuclear Weapons Site was closed in 1979 but the site was fully restored and now all premises bring back to life the realities of the Cold War period as the site opens its grim corridors and tunnels for guided tours. Board your motor coach from the pier for the 1.5-hour drive to the site. It is possible to climb through the narrow hatch and see one of the silos . The deep mine shaft and underground tunnels are really impressive. There you will also see some of the symbols of the longstanding propaganda between the West and the Soviet Union. On the way back from this apocalyptic site, and as a complete contrast, you will see the most beautiful sites of the national park: crystal - the clear waters of the Plateliai Lake and three spectacular islands. Before heading back to Klaipeda you will have a light lunch of traditional dishes : cold beetroot soup, potato dumplings with meat, hash browns, natural yogurt, tea or coffee or a local beer in a Lithuanian café. Tallinn has one of the finest medieval Old Towns in all of Northern Europe. Explore its must-see highlights by comfortable motor coach and on foot. Aboard a coach, you will proceed to the walkway opposite the main railway station to begin your stroll through the Lower Town's historic center. Pass the Old Town Wall with its towers dating from the 13th- 15th centuries and St. Michael's Convent and Church. Other Old Tallinn architectural highlights include medieval guild houses and visiting inside the Holy Spirit Church. On the pier, you'll meet your Estonian guide, a freedom fighter who will take you back to 1991-1992 when Estonia became independent. In the Soviet bus, the guide will be talking about absurd Soviet propaganda, the Soviet leaders and of course offering vodka shots with pickles. The guide will be focusing on his/her personal stories: how people lived and become free 30 years ago, what Soviet life was like, the transition period and what the situation was in the USSR. Tallinn, Estonian Home through Centuries

Just 35 minutes from the pier you will visit the Open Air Museum in Viimsi peninsula, showcasing fascinating examples of Estonian rural architecture.  Back aboard the coach, there’s a 10-minute drive to the seaside setting of a modern Estonian private home. On arrival, your hostess proudly escorts you around her home and garden. You will hear interesting stories of her family, work and hobby during a coffee break.  Back aboard the coach, you will head for the Upper Town of Old Tallinn and the Tall Hermann Tower on Toompea Hill. A short walk will then bring you to Palace Square surrounded by the Parliament House and the Russian Orthodox Church. After passing St. Mary’s Cathedral your stroll will continue over narrow cobblestone lanes to a scenic viewpoint for expansive panoramas of the Lower Town with its towers and steeples rising above a cluster of red-tiled roofs.
