One of the world’s natural wonders, Geirangerfjord and Sognefjord are stunning from every angle — from the top of Lysefjord’s anvil-shaped Pulpit Rock, from the Flam Railway as it winds through the mountains and past waterfalls high above Aurlandsfjord, and from the fjords themselves as you cruise on your boutique ship. Stavanger, Utstein Monastery & Old Stavanger

An introduction to the celebrated Utstein Monastery , complete with a short organ recital, is a wonderful way to remember your visit to Stavanger. Your motor coach will travel through he world's longest underwater tunnel, 3 miles long,, to reach Moster Island . Vivid greens of all shades surround you as you continue toward Utstein Kloster, the best-preserved monastery in Norway. Originally it served as the royal residence for the very first Viking King of Norway, Harald Fairhair. From the 13th century onward, Augustine monks lived in this peaceful countryside and a massive restoration project began in 1937 and continued until 1965. Begin your guided tour of Utstein Monastery and discover the history of this haunting building along with the different eras the monastery has witnessed and the remains of each of them in the current structure. A short organ recital will be performed in the chapel. Returning to old Stavanger, disembark your motor coach for a short walk through the old town back to the harbor. Stroll along narrow streets and view picturesque, white-painted, wooden houses with small, colorful gardens. Please note : Wear comfortable walking shoes and layered comfortable clothing.

Stavanger, History and Highlights

Our journey begins at the Norwegian Petroleum Museum, where we'll delve into the excitement and drama of the oil adventure, learn about geology and technology, and understand oil's crucial role as a financial resource for Norway. The museum's unique architecture, resembling a small oil platform, is a landmark in the Port of Stavanger. We then immerse ourselves in the region's history at Jernaldergården, an Iron Age farm that faithfully recreates ancient Norwegian life, showcasing how they survived in a harsh climate. Finally, we visit a historically significant site of brutal battles, where we admire the Swords in Stone monument honoring a pivotal Viking chieftain, and explore prehistoric sites revealing the diverse culture of Scandinavian ancestors. Stavanger, Concierge Collection: Lysefjord Rib Boat Safari

Experience the magnificent scenery along the Archipelago and view Pulpit Rock on board an open-air rigid inflatable boat (RIB). After a short walk to the RIB boat pier you will meet your captain and be given a short safety briefing before being outfitted with a weatherproof suit and life jacket. You will begin your adventure at a slow pace along the beautiful harbor of Stavanger . Once the harbor is out of sight and you have crossed underneath the Stavanger Bridge, the RIB will speed up to 30-35 knots (37 mph) and cruise along the Archipelago. During your journey you might spot some of the local wildlife like sea eagles, seals or porpoises. Once you have reached the Lysefjord you will see the narrow gap into the Vagabond Cave and view the magnificence of Pulpit Rock from sea level. Your captain will also bring you close to one of the waterfalls falling from the steep, high cliffs above. He will navigate so close that you will be able to feel, smell and even taste the pure water freshness. After a breathtaking ride close to the vertical mountain cliffs, you will head back to Stavanger, where your adventure ends in the very center of Stavanger and only a short walk away from your ship. Stavanger, Cruise to Pulpit Rock

Directly next to your ship you will embark a boat for a cruise into one of Norway's most stunning fjord s, the so called "Fjord of the Light," or Lysefjord in Norwegian. The name comes from the lightly colored granite rock that rises sharply from the deep fjord. During your trip you can relax both outside and inside the vessel, while you marvel at the breathtaking natural wonders of this region. You will start by cruising alongside the many small islands of the Stavanger Archipelago on which many have built holiday homes with their own private piers. Leaving the archipelago, you will enter Lysefjorden with it steep sheer cliffs on both sides. From these steep cliffs many towering waterfalls spill gallons of fresh water from above into the salty fjord beneath. If weather permits you will get an amazing view of the famous Preikestolen, or Pulpit Rock , that towers out over 1,969 feet above the fjord. Your cruise will take you directly underneath the Pulpit Rock to gaze at its marveling height. Before returning to Stavanger, you'll make a short stop at Helleren, an idyllic beach at the mouth of the Lysefjord. Here you will get to enjoy some of Norway's traditional waffles which are served with sour cream and sweet local fruit jams. Please note : Life jackets will be provided on board. This tour is wheelchair accessible.

Molde: Scenic Drive on the Atlantic Road

Your tour will start with a brief sightseeing tour of Molde including the Molde Church, the City Hall and the Museum of Romsdalen Valley before you head to the Varden Viewpoint with its impressive view of Molde, Romsdalsfjorden and the 87 peaks of the Romsdals Alps. Then you will continue your scenic drive passing the village of Eide before entering one of the masterpieces of Norwegian engineering, the Atlantic Road . Opened in 1989, the road covers a distance of 5 miles including 8 bridges from islet to islet connecting Averoya Island to the mainland. Your tour will continue to the fishing village of Bud, where you will have a photo stop then pass by the Church of Bud, built in 1717, before returning to Molde. Molde, Full Day trip to Andalsnes

Enjoy a scenic drive from Molde to Åndalsnes where you will cross the fjord by ferry to Åfarnes and make your first stop at Rødven Stave Church. The Rødven Stave Church, now the property of the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments, dates back to 1300 and is still located on its original site. You'll have the opportunity to discover the unique architecture and atmosphere of this church, which is one of only 30 surviving stave churches in Norway. Your next stop will be Woldstad Farm, where you will be warmly welcomed by your hosts. Woldstad Farm dates back to 1654, and the Woldstad family has owned and run the farm since then. Your hosts will share stories about the local history and entertain you with Norwegian folk songs before you are served a delicious 3-course lunch. Just up from the town center of Åndalsens, you will find a newly built gondola that will take you 2,323 feet (708 meters) above sea level. Arrive at Nesaksla mountain top and experience a breathtaking view of the mountains and fjord. Depart Åndalsens passing more wonderful scenery en route to Molde. The return drive includes a 15-minute ferry crossing from Åfarnes to Sølsnes. Please note: It is recommended that guests dress in layered clothing, bring raingear for inclement weather, and wear flat comfortable shoes. Just minutes from the pier is the cathedral of Molde, a double-nave basilica built in 1957 that has a free-standing bell tower next to the main building. Spend about 20 minutes appreciating its architecture, the roses surrounding the church bell tower and the flowers blooming on the terraced hillside before continuing to the Romsdalen Open Air Museum, among Norway's largest regional museums, founded in 1912. You will see an open-air museum with houses, all furnished and equipped according to their respective ages, showing the development of the farmers' culture from the 17th to the 20th century. Leaving the museum, stop at Varden Viewpoint en route to your yacht. Located on the mountainside 1,300 feet above Molde, this vintage point affords magnificent panoramas of the fjords and Romsdal Alps. Molde, Scenic E-Bike Tour in Molde

Pedal your way through the vibrant city of Molde, where every turn tells a story—from the striking Molde Cathedral to the maritime atmosphere of Molde Harbour and the lively Culture Square. Molde, Marble Caves & Atlantic Ocean Road

Enjoy a magical visit to the magnificent Bergtatt Marble Caves. After a 45-minute scenic drive north your adventure will begin on board a small, open-air boat taking you deep into the glistening caves, crisscrossing an underground lake. The caves are decorated with beautiful lighting reflecting on the water, giving you a mystical experience. Your knowledgeable guide will inform you of the mining operations which were active from 1938-1987. You will also see a short film of how this marble mine is still operating in other parts of the mountain. During your visit you will have time to capture photos of this unique marble cavern. Continuing on by motor coach you will pass the village of Eide before entering one of the masterpieces of Norwegian engineering, the Atlantic Ocean Road. The road workers experienced 12 hurricanes during construction of the road before it was opened in 1989. In a distance of 5 miles, 8 different bridges have been built from islet to islet connecting Averøya Island with the mainland. Your scenic drive will conclude along the Moldefjorden on your way back to Molde and the ship. Please note: Walking is very limited, however guests must be able to embark transportation both for the motor coach and the boat independently.

The pleasant small village of Olden is located at the inner end of the 66-mile long Nordfjord, the sixth longest fjord in Norway.   Long known for tourism and industry, it is now also famous for contemporary design.  With fewer than 500 inhabitants Olden is an ideal destination for people who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, and is the gateway to Jostedal, the largest glacier on the European mainland. Embark on a scenic drive through the heart of this spectacular region. Passing through the charming village of Stryn, you'll be surrounded by dramatic landscapes: towering mountains, lush green valleys, and crystal-clear fjords. This area is famous for its year-round outdoor activities, from hiking and glacier walking to skiing and fishing. Enroute you will have the opportunity for a photo stop at the beginning of the National touristic road “Gamle Strynefjellvegen” to capture the magnificent views over the whole valley. Located near the village of Oppstryn, the Jostedalsbreen National Park Center serves as the official gateway to the Jostedalsbreen National Park, home to Jostedals Glacier—the largest glacier on mainland Europe. Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and serene lakes, the center offers a deep and engaging look into the park’s unique natural and cultural heritage. Inside the center, explore interactive exhibits, 3D models, and multimedia presentations that reveal how glaciers are formed, how they shape the landscape, and how local people have adapted to life in this rugged environment. Olden, Loen Skylift & Trek to Skredfjellet

The Loen Skylift is the fastest and easiest way to the best views in Norway. This cable car is one of the steepest cable cars in the world and offers magnificent views over the Olden and Loen Valley. You will see parts of the grand Jostedals Glacier, the largest glacier in continental Europe, maintained by the heavy snowfall in the region. You will also overlook the jade green water of the Loen and Briksdals lakes. Continuing on you will hike on a well maintained path, past the north side of Tungegjølet, a steep narrow gully that ends down at Loen. You will walk close to the steep mountainsides until you reach the peak of Skredfjellet, (1155m) above sea level. The reward that awaits you is well worth the effort - with an impressive view of inner Nordfjord. At the conclusion of your hike, sit back, relax and breathe in the mountain air as you enjoy a light refreshment at the top of Mount Hoven. Please note: Participants must be in good physical condition and should dress in layered clothing, bring rain gear and wear comfortable hiking shoes. The trail covers 3.5 miles (5.4km) round trip and is on dirt and gravel, with gradual but consistent inclines, and steps. This tour is not recommended for anyone who is afraid of heights or experiences vertigo. Comfort stops available at the base and top of the cable car. If there is snow on top of the mountain snowshoes and poles will be available for additional charge.

Olden, Briksdal Glacier by Troll Cars

The village of Olden is situated at the end of the innermost arm of lovely Nordfjord, which cuts its way inland to the mighty ice fields of the Jostedals Glacier, Europe's largest glacier. Briksdal Glacier, your destination on this tour, is one of its arms. Leaving Olden's center by coach with your guide, you will pass two picturesque churches and the beautiful lakes Floren and Olden. At the end of the valley lies Rustøen, around which numerous waterfalls tumble from the ice field. The road ascends through woodlands to the Briksdalen Inn, where you will leave the coach. The powerful Briksdal Glacier is a part of the Jostedal Glacier National Park. The wild glacier swoops down from a height of 3,927 feet to the lush, narrow Briksdal Valley. When you arrive at Briksdal Fjellstove the "Troll cars" will be waiting to take you safely to where the road ends - at the famous glacier. It's a fantastic trip on a narrow road that crosses the foaming glacier stream twice. You will return to Briksdal Fjellstove which has been the meeting place for hill walkers and mountaineers in Briksdalen for several generations. Here you will be served some coffee/tea and cake before your return by bus to Olden and the ship. Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress in warm layers. Guests will walk approximately 15 minutes to reach the glacier once they’re out of the Troll Car.

Olden, Concierge Collection: Cray Fishing RIB Adventure

Leave the charming village of Olden, at the head of the beautiful Nordfjord, you will drive along its shores toward the popular village of Loen. This small village offers you the pleasure of its fjord, Loen Lake, glaciers, high mountains and luxuriant plant life. Continue to the Kjenndal Valley where you will experience the lovely, troll-like atmosphere in Lodalen, and the jade green, mirror of Loen Lake.
