Bridgetown: Barbados Island Tour with Airport Transfer

Your tour will begin with a leisurely drive along the Gold Coast , home to many wealthy residents, and will take you to the stunning area of Bathsheba . This is where the Atlantic surf pounds the coastline and it is a famous spot for international and local surfing competitions. A walk on the beach is a must. Heading into the hills, you will arrive at St. John's Church . There are stunning views from the churchyard - a perfect photo opportunity. The church contains an interesting sculpture depicting the Madonna and Child with the infant St. John. The graveyard contains the tomb of Ferdinand Paleologus, a descendant of the Byzantine Imperial family. The present building was constructed in 1836, and the pulpit is constructed from six different kinds of wood: ebony, locust, Barbados mahogany, manchineel, oak and pine. Through sleepy country villages and sugar cane fields, you will make your way to Sunbury House dating back to 1650. The house was destroyed by fire in 1995, and was gracefully restored and re-opened in 1996. It possesses one of the country's superior collections of antiques. The cellar houses a unique collection of antique carriages, the largest collection in the Caribbean, as well as many items used in the domestic life of the plantation. It also houses a very old collection of optical machinery and sight testing equipment, some of the first to come to the West Indies including the first lens grinding plant. Enjoy a light deli-style lunch with a complimentary rum or fruit punch. A short drive will take you to the airport where you will be met and assisted with your luggage and airline check-in. Please note : There are about 20 steps to climb at Sunbury House and 10 steps down to the cellar. This tour will end with a drop off at the Grantley Adams International Airport or the Accra Beach Hotel.

Open-air gondolas , accompanied by a naturalist guide provide the one and only access to the upper layers of the rainforest. Ascending through the middle layer of the rainforest you will enjoy the fauna and flora. The Aerial Tram Tour will transport you up and away from the heat and bustle of the lowlands to an ecological park located in the heights of St Lucia's forest reserve. Sixteen open-air gondolas ascend noiselessly through the rainforest, offering you a magical view of nature in its majesty - towering gommiers, impressive chatanniers, and the remarkable phenomenon of the strangler ficus, alighted upon by playful hummingbirds and banana quits. An experienced Nature Interpreter will point out giant ferns and magnificent heliconia, and identify the calls and the plumage of the birdlife that makes the Caribbean Oceanic forest its home. The descent will afford you a bird's eye view of the forest and a spectacular panoramic vista of the north of the island. With much to see and listen for, the tram ride will be a celebration of color and life and a restorative retreat guaranteed to refresh the senses. Please note: Depending on traffic, the drive to the tram is about 40 minutes, and persons prone to motion sickness are asked to take the necessary precautions prior to the tour. Wear comfortable walking shoes for the trail. The walk after the Aerial Tram is optional. No high heels, sandals or flip flops are allowed. Rodney Bay: Let's Make Chocolate

Once considered the dessert for monarchs and aristocrats, chocolate has since filtered through to the mainstream. The tree to bar chocolate class at Howelton Estate features the use of St. Lucia's trinitario cocoa beans, which are treasured by renowned chocolatiers for their aromatic indulgencies on one's senses. The class will begin with the manual grinding of cocoa nibs which have been broken down from dried trinitario beans grown on the island. With the use of a mortar & pestle, class participants under the guidance of the house chocolatier, grind nibs until they transform into liquefied chocolate. The breakdown process can take up to 45 minutes adding in personal touches of desired flavors along the way, which makes each chocolate a unique signature bar. Throughout the class, information on the multiple benefits of the trintario chocolate is disseminated as dark chocolate is renowned for its fascinating health benefits. There is a 20-minute cooling down period to allow the liquefied chocolate to solidify after it has been put into its mold. The break will allow time for taking in the amazing views of the city, while enjoying a beverage from the Cellar Bar or browsing the duty free gift shop among other options. After the break, class will resume and the end result will be a beautiful 1.8 ounce (50 grams) dark chocolate bar that is foil wrapped and can be taken home as perhaps the most distinctive souvenir of St. Lucia. Rodney Bay, Rainforest Canopy Zip Line Adventure

Take a bird's-eye-view of rainforest bird and plant life as you soar high above the ground on this zip line adventure. You will enjoy a one-hour journey along a somewhat winding road toward Dennery Fishing Village. Soon you reach the Zip Line Welcome Center in the heart of the rainforest. After a safety briefing you will be on your way along 4,000 feet of cables suspended between platforms. There are also two net bridges that provide access between platforms. The fully integrated system of cables and rigging is carefully designed to deliver a thrill all under safe conditions. Although this ride does not demand physical ability, the adrenaline rush is one you'll long remember. Please note : You should wear tops with sleeves and avoid very brief shorts. How important are bees to the environment you may ask? Bees contribute to biodiversity and thereby making the environment attractive. These insects also promote the growth of many different species of plants, flowers and trees, contributing towards a vibrant ecosystem that sustains other insects, birds and mammals. You will depart Charlotteville in a mini-bus and travel up and over the lush mountains for a scenic drive along the eastern seashore. Stop at the Speyside Lookout and enjoy sweeping views of mountains, coast and offshore islands. Continue on through tiny villages clinging to the mountainsides, past picturesque bays, as you learn about Tobago’s turbulent history and the fascinating mélange of people that make up her present citizenry. You will make your way to Gilpin Trace where your trained Naturalist Guide will meet you to begin your trek. The hike will take you through the oldest rainforest in the Western Hemisphere, the Gilpin Trace, famous for its abundance of birdlife. Scarborough, Tobago Cocoa Discovery

Enjoy a half-day tour of Tobago’s rainforest.  Your drive will take you along Tobago’s Windward Coast to Roxborough and enter the Main Ridge Forest Reserve which is the oldest established reserve in the Western Hemisphere and make your way to the Cocoa Estate, which is well known for its top quality cocoa that goes into making World Class Chocolate Products. On arrival, your guide will hand you over to the Cocoa Estate Management who will give you a briefing of the estate and take you on a walk through the estate where you will have a firsthand view of the cocoa trees and the way they are processed for market, including the drying process and bagging for export markets. After the guided experience, you will be treated to samplings of the freshly brewed cocoa tea and chocolate bar before heading back to your transport. Your journey will begin at the pier where you'll board your air-conditioned coach and enjoy a scenic drive through the capital of St. George's en route to De La Grenade Industries, where you can sample delicious products, such as jams, jellies and nutmeg syrup. St. Georges, Powerboat & Snorkeling at the Statues Park *

You will be collected from the jetty next to your yacht's dock. Climb aboard the twin engine powerboat and enjoy a fun adventure. After a short safety briefing you will head north along Grenada's sheltered western coast. During your tour you will learn about the Spice Isle and also information on the ecology, wildlife, geography and local history of Grenada. The boat will stop for approximately 40 minutes so snorkelers can explore with a guide the world-famous underwater sculpture park of Grenada now listed as one of the Top 25 Wonders of the World by National Geographic . You will discover what the underwater looks like in a "sit on top" double clear bottom kayak. With this tour you will have the opportunity to discover two highlights of Curacao, the Hato Caves and the famous City Center, which is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. After a short drive, you will arrive at the impressive Hato Caves. It is home to beautiful limestone formations, the famous Madonna statue, and a colony of seldom seen long nose fruit bats. A small path will lead you to a variety of stalagmites and stalactites. From here we drive back to the city where your walk through the city center will start. First you will visit the Curacao marketplace where the local people buy their food and ingredients. After this, you will pass by Curacao's former floating fruit & vegetable market, where Venezuelan schooners used to sell their products from their boats. Your last stop will be Fort Amsterdam, home to the governor of the Netherlands Antilles. This fort was constructed in 1634 and served as the military fort and headquarters for the Dutch West India Company (WIC). Willemstad, Naural Wonders with Snack

During this excursion you will have the opportunity to discover the diverse natural wonders that Curacao has to offer. Your tour will start with a drive to the west side of the island towards your first stop, Shete Boka National Park. This area is known for its strong surf, and you'll be mesmerized by how the waves explode on the coastal rock formations. Your second stop is Hofi Mango, one of Curacao's most diverse nature reserves and one of the best kept secrets on the island. After walking through the rainforest, you'll make your way to the Stairway to Heaven, where you'll find a spectacular panoramic view of the island. One you make your way back down from the viewpoint, you will stop at the on-property restaurant where you will be served a beef slider with a local twist and a homemade juice. Your last stop of the day will be at Cas Abao Beach, one of Curacaos most beautiful natural beaches known for its wide strip of white sand and warm, shallow waters. Willemstad, Walking Tour

Explore Willemstad architecture, pastel-colored buildings, and ornate facades on a guided walking tour of the historic city. The Curacao city center is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and offers many great photo opportunities. Your guided walking tour begins at the ship. After a short walk to the city center, you will pass the main square. From here, we will walk to the Hotel Kura Hulanda, which is one of the most well-known hotels in the Caribbean. The hotel utilizes restored buildings and is situated right on the Harbor of Willemstad. The old labor houses have been transformed into 5-star suites, giving this hotel a historic and luxurious feel. After your hotel visit, you will walk towards the famous floating bridge that connects both sides of the city with each other. From here, you'll cross the waterway and head to Willemstad's historic downtown district. See Fort Amsterdam, finished in 1635 this fort is now home to the governor. A beautiful church sits in the rear of the courtyard and various government buildings and old fortifications can still be seen amongst the seaside cafes and shops. Continue along Main Street, passing the former floating market where fresh fruits and vegetables were brought from Venezuela by schooner. Your knowledgeable guide offers island history and provides commentary throughout your tour. From the city center, you will have the ability to walk back to the ship, or you can stay in the city center and return at your leisure. Willemstad, Off Road Adventures in the Wild West

See a different side of Curaçao on the Hato plains. This flat terrain is Curaçao's mini desert with its orange-colored sand. Our first stop will be at the historical Bull's eye - this site was used by the United States Air Force during World War II for bombing practice purposes. From our truck, you will have a birds eye view of this enormous training target. Next, we will visit the Bos di San Antonio Cave. Here, you will discover the different shapes and sizes of the impressive stalagmites and stalactites in this cave. After this stop we will drive past the enormous wind turbines that supply electricity to the island. Leaving the Curaçao desert, you will continue to Shete Boka National Park. The windier and rougher the weather, the better the show over here. Watch in awe as the waves explode on wild rock formations at Boka Tabla and view the startling spectacle that forms when waves get pushed through a narrow inlet at Boka Pistol. On your way back you will also pass by a flamingo habitat at the salt flats of Sint Michiel, where you might spot some flamingos from the truck. Please note: we recommend you dress in layers and wear closed toed shoes.
