Quaint and charming, Monopoli has many sites within easy walking distance.  Start at the colorful street market and head toward the cathedral, built in 1693 with a tower that is 197 feet high. Past the cathedral is part of the seafront and a promenade and the beautiful Church of Santa Maria della Zaffira and the impressive Charles V Castle, built in 1552. The little harbors that make up the port are full of brightly colored boats and fishermen busily mending their nets.

Rovinj, Experience Istria

The hilly Istrian inland is romantic, mystical and simply beautiful. From Rovinj you will drive 60 minutes by coach to Motovun, an astonishing architectural landmark. This hilltop town has preserved its medieval ambiance in its narrow streets within the town walls which have been preserved in their entire length. Walk along Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance buildings to the main square dominated by the 13th century belfry of St. Stephen's Church. Free time in Motovun is followed by a scenic drive to the Stefanic village. At Stefanic Agroturism, which is located on the picturesque slopes near Motovun in a natural and traditional environment, you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch which will include delicious local truffle specialties and Istrian wine. Reboard your coach once again and you will take in the picturesque countryside as you make your way back to the ship. Please note: This tour involves moderate walking and negotiating up to 100 steps. The hilly Istrian inland is romantic, mystical, and beautiful. From Rovinj you will travel by coach on a 60-minute drive to Motovun, a hilltop town that has preserved its medieval ambiance in its narrow streets within the town walls, preserved in their entire length. Walk along Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance buildings to the main square dominated by the 13th century belfry of St. Stephen's Church. Free time in Motovun is followed by a scenic uphill drive to the village of Vrh. You will enjoy the view of the surrounding deep valleys, proud towers, vineyards, hilltops, and beautiful Mount Ucka. At nearly 1,300 feet above sea level, Vrh was once known as the "Istrian Lookout." You will have lunch in a traditional Istrian "konoba." After lunch your drive will continue through rolling hills to Draguc, the hidden pearl of Istrian medieval inheritance. Visit St. Rocco's Church and see its greatest treasures - writings and fresco paintings from the 16th century. Board the coach once again and enjoy the sights of the picturesque countryside as you are driven back to the ship. Please note: This tour involves moderate walking and negotiating up to 100 steps. Monopoli, Alberobello & Private Visit to a Trullo *

Alberobello-nothing less than a fairytale village-will bewitch you with its intriguing charm. This community is famous all over the world for its unique cone-shaped buildings with whitewashed walls and stone roofs, all built without mortar. The village of Alberobello was founded in the 16th century. The local peasants built circular houses on the land without using mortar simply by using the stones that they found on the soil or in caves. An early form of tax evasion so when inspection time rolled around, the peasants simply knocked down their houses. Alberobello is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known all over the world as the trulli capital. Your guided tour will start at Terrazzino Belvedere situated in Aia Piccola, which boasts more than 400 trullis. Visit the Old Town (called Rione Monti), which is comprised of 1,030 trullis. The majority of these are still used as private houses. End your walking tour at the Church of Saint Anthony-a trulli church with a façade of three wings adorned with a rose window and two round windows. Crossing the channel by motorboat you will reach the well-known seaside resort of "Orebic" where this excursion will start. Pelješac Peninsula is producing probably the best wines in Croatia. Leaving the town of Orebic by modern air-conditioned motor coach your first visit will be to the famous cellar of Mike Grgich, one of the most well-known wine cellars of this region. The Grgich Winery is in Trstenik, housed in a plain stone building that was once a military station, then later a resort. It is surrounded by a wooded area that overlooks the rocky coast of the Adriatic. Korcula, Korcula In Depth *

Discover the island of Korcula, from one end to another, learning about the crafts and history while showcasing the best that Korcula has to offer. Start with a picturesque island drive of Korcula; only 20 miles long and between 4 and 5 miles wide. This island is also known for its dense forest. Ancient Greeks called the island Black Korcula for this reason. Korcula has close to 1,000 olive farms and 10 olive mills, with olive oil production being an important local economic activity. You will visit the Zlokic family owned mill, known for being one of the leading olive oil producers on the island. The family's personal collection of antiques boasts many old-fashioned tools for olive oil making; including a 15th century wooden olive press and an 18th century hydraulic compression system. The family's oil mill covers 837 square yards (700 square meters) and provides guests with a complete understanding of their elixir of the gods. After tasting the olive oil you will travel to Blato for a visit of the Barilo Ethnographic Museum. Korcula, Ston Oyster Farm & Ston Walls Hiking *

Ston was built in 1335 and amended in 1370 and is considered one of the best planned and best structured cities in Europe. The walls of Stone were a massive architecture and construction feat. Originally 7,000-meters long (22,965 ft.), they consist of several parts; the Stone city walls, the Mali Ston city walls and the Big Wall with its 3 forts. Its forts and towers are strengthened by 10 round and 31 square flanking towers and 6 semi-circular bastions. It took almost 4 centuries to finish these complex defense walls, as the builders had to adapt to the rough terrain and advancements in warfare technology. The walls were last used for defense in the 19th century, and today they are a priceless monument of immense architectural and cultural value. Climbing the Walls will start in Ston. On route you will be walking a distance of almost 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) over demanding terrain with more than 400 steps before reaching Mali Ston. The town of Mali Ston is known as the "oysters' capital" of Croatia. Upon arrival in Mali Ston board a local boat which will take you to oyster and mussel beds. Your host will welcome you on board and introduce you to the oyster and mussel planting in this area. Opatija, Concierge Collection: On the Trail of Truffles *

Depart the pier for the scenic, approximately 1.5-hour drive to the Village of Vrh , which overlooks Lake Butoniga. Upon arrival, proceed for a visit to the home of the Karlic family, who originated the tradition of truffle-hunting in Istria. Your visit will begin with a tasting of wonderful truffle products, such as cheese with truffles and perhaps truffle biscuits. Next, leave the Karlic's home and head downhill, led by specially trained dogs, to the famous Motovun Forest to experience the adventure of hunting for black and precious white truffles. After an approximately 75-minute search for these treasured delicacies of the woodlands, return to the Karlic's home to learn how to prepare a delicacy with truffles. Situated on a tiny piece of land jutting into the sea and considered to be the most beautiful of Slovenia's coastal towns, Piran is full of medieval architecture, narrow streets, and compact houses.  A walk to the beautiful oval-shaped main square will greet you with a statue of Giuseppe Tartini, composer and virtuoso violinist, and the most famous man of Piran.  Around the square are attractions like Venetian House, and a delightful Gothic-Venetian structure, The Sergei Masera Maritime Museum and the Church of St. George with its gorgeous view over the city and the harbor from the bell tower. Piran, Lake Bled with Island

Lake Bled has attracted numerous visitors for centuries, with its immense natural beauty, hot springs and serene climate. Beautiful hotels, walking paths, tennis and golf courses, a casino, rowing regattas and nearby natural and cultural sites are only a few of the reasons that this has become a popular place for both tourists and locals. You will depart the pier for a scenic 2-hour drive towards Bled, where upon arrival you will board a boat for a cruise of the Lake and a visit to its famous island which is situated in the middle. Landing at the island, one of the sites you will visit is the "Wish Bell," certainly the most significant point of interest for visitors since the Middle Ages. The Bell hangs from the tower on top of the chapel roof. According to popular legend, a young widow who lived at Bled Castle mourned her husband who had been killed by brigands and gathered all her gold and silver and had a bell cast for the chapel on Bled Island. When the bell was being transported to the island, a terrible storm caused the boat to overturn, drowning the sailors and sinking the bell to the bottom of the lake. The young widow, now even more devastated, entered a convent. After her death, the Pope donated another bell for the Bled Church. Legend has it that those who ring the bell to honor her and make a wish will see their wish come true. From here you will continue to the lunch venue, where you will enjoy your meal with a nice view over the lake before having some free time to explore Lake Bled on your own. You will board your motor coach for the 15-minute drive to the lovely seafront town of Izola - an old fishing town on the Adriatic Coast. Piran, Skocjan Cave - UNESCO

Enjoy your day exploring the UNESCO site of Skocjan Caves , rich in importance for the region and powerful in their beauty.
