Venice, Canals of Venice

Explore the Serenissima city cruising the maze of its canals. You will depart from your yacht by motor launch and start your tour from the Cannaregio, Misericordia, and Noale Canals; then, enter the Grand Canal where you will see the beautiful Ca' D'Oro, a wonderful example of Venetian Gothic architecture and Rialto Bridge, built in 1588 and for 300 hundred years the only means of crossing the Grand Canal on foot. Proceed to Ca' Rezzonico, one of the most splendid Baroque palaces in Venice, now housing the Museum of 18th century Venice. You will board your motor coach for the 90-minute drive to Pnsici Village and the Cetina River. For thousands of years the Cetina River has been crafting a beautiful canyon, creating miraculous forms in the stone of its riverbed. This crystal-clear river with a temperature pleasant enough for swimming, offers a true untouched nature experience. The 590-foot cliffs, cascades, lakes, underground tunnels and the 131-foot-high Gubavica Waterfall are on the agenda today. Depart Split by motor coach to Klis and the Stella Croatica Ethno Village, a family run producer of traditional Dalmatian delicacies. Begin with a walk through the orchard and olive grove along a winding stone path through the middle of a garden and further through Aroma Park, rich with aromatic herbs and spices specific to Dalmatia. Split, Krka National Park Highlights

Leaving the town of Split, you will take a 75-minute drive by coach to the famous Krka River Waterfalls. Located in lovely Krka National Park, the falls cascade over 17 natural barriers. Krka is one of the seven National Parks in Croatia and was formed to protect the Krka River. The whole area is rich with endemic species - vegetation as well as birds and fish. This tour will take you to the most attractive part of the park - the Skradinski Buk Waterfalls. The highest waterfall is 151 feet high which makes it the highest gypsum barrier in Europe. Above the falls there is a large plateau that offers spectacular views of the area. Your guided visit to the park will include a small ethnological exhibit and the old mill which is still in use. There is a path around the falls and you will have two hours of free time to explore before your 75-minute drive back to Split. Please note: The national park terrain is narrow and rough at times and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring your bathing suit as there will be an opportunity to cool off in the water if you choose.

A scenic drive will take you into the countryside to the charming village of Tici, and the home of the Moric family. Upon arrival at the Moric Family home, which has been in the family for more than 200 years, you'll be greeted with a warm welcome by Ilija Moric, University Professor & President of Montenegro Olive Oil Producers Association. You will get a unique opportunity to discover the secrets behind producing organic olive oil as the Moric family are the only business in the area currently producing organic olive oil. Take a short walk through the olive grove, before visiting their new, modern olive press. Afterwards, when you see the old olive press, you'll understand how the new system has made life a lot easier! At the old mill you'll have the opportunity to sample the olive oil, with Ilija Moric on hand to answer any questions you may have. This trip is a unique combination of asphalt and off road, sea side and mountain scenery and different climates. It starts from Kotor with a scenic mountain drive towards the mountain village of Ivanova Korita. Once arrived at Ivanova Korita, located at the foot of Mount Lovcen National Park, and after a tour introduction and safety briefing you will receive your helmet, board your 2-person ATV and take the asphalt road towards the Ivanov Konak restaurant, from where you will take the Austro - Hungarian off road for 5 miles (8km) across Lovcen Mountain National Park. During this tour you will enjoy the beautiful refreshing shadow of the thick beech forest that embraces the road like a tunnel. A photo stop will be made at the place that provides the most attractive view of the 2 highest peaks on Lovcen followed by the place where King Nikola used to arrive to take a rest and enjoy the stunning view of Budva Riviera, Boka Bay and Tivat. Kotor, Highlights of Montenegro

From the port of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site , a motor coach will take you on a panoramic tour. You will ascend steep slopes up the serpentine road with 25 curves to Lovcen Mountain, through an area of beautiful contrasts. The soaring Montenegrin mountains tower on one side, while opposite them is the sublime beauty of one of the world's most attractive bays. The road will take you to the picturesque village of Njegusi where you will enjoy local snacks that consist of smoked ham, cheese, homemade bread, and wine. Rejoin the coach and proceed to the town of Cetinje, to visit the Museum of King Nikola. You will have some free time before boarding a private motor boat to Gospa od Skrpjela, a Baroque-style church situated on one of two islets in the bay of Kotor, across from Perast. The islet is man made, and its original church was built in 1452. You'll view the stunning present church, Our Lady of the Rocks, built in 1632, and enlarged in 1722. You'll see 68 magnificent paintings by Tripo Kokolja, a famous 17th century Baroque artist from Perast whose most important painting, The Death of the Virgin, is nearly 33 feet long. Rejoin your bus for the return drive back to Kotor for a city walking tour through UNESCO protected Old Kotor. The city of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was founded around the 4th century B.C., copying the geometric regularity of the layout of Naples. Its "decumani" (main streets) have an east-west orientation, while the "cardines" (narrower streets) run north-south. There is undeniably a "feeling" about Herculaneum, quite different from Pompeii, where you get the impression that its ancient population of 5,000 packed up and left only moments ago. Herculaneum was smaller than Pompeii but is better preserved simply because, while hot ashes consumed the wood of Pompeii's buildings, Herculaneum was covered by hot mud which sealed and protected entire city blocks. This means that marble floors, mosaics, paintings and carbonized woods can still be admired today. The city of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was founded around the 4th century B.C., copying the geometric regularity of the layout of Naples. Its "decumani" (main streets) have an east-west orientation, while the "cardines" (narrower streets) run north-south. There is undeniably a "feeling" about Herculaneum, quite different from Pompeii, where you get the impression that its ancient population of 5,000 packed up and left only moments ago. Herculaneum was smaller than Pompeii but is better preserved simply because, while hot ashes consumed the wood of Pompeii's buildings, Herculaneum was covered by hot mud which sealed and protected entire city blocks. This means that marble floors, mosaics, paintings and carbonized woods can still be admired today. Portofino, Hiking to Santa Margherita

Sanary Sur Mer, Le Castellet & Tasting

Begin this excursion with a scenic drive to Le Castellet - a typical Provençal hilltop village above the vineyards. This remarkable stronghold boasts well-preserved ramparts, a carefully restored 12th century church, and a castle dating back to the 11th century. Entering by the two fortified gates, called le portail and le portalet, you will start your visit with a guided walking tour around the narrow streets up to the castle which is now home to the town hall. Time at leisure will allow you to explore the arts and craft workshops - painting, pottery, and hollowware, before re-joining the motor coach for a drive to a nearby wine domain where you will enjoy a guided visit followed by a tasting of the famous Bandol wines. Over the time, the wines of Bandol have become one of the most internationally recognized wines of Provence. There are many different factors that determine the aroma and taste of wine, from the age and varieties of vines to the climate, soil, and terrain. Sanary Sur Mer, Cassis

Drive to Cassis via the coastal road where you will find a delightful landscape of limestone cliffs. On arrival in Cassis, board a little shuttle train or a shuttle bus for the ride to the village. View the town's old 17th and 18th century houses during the ride to the downtown area. The quaint village lies in an attractive setting at the end of a bay where the valley comes down to the sea. It is a popular summer resort and a hub for summer boat trips along the Calanques National Park and creeks. The village is known for the quality of its fish and other seafood; the sea urchins accompanied by Cassis white wine are a local delicacy. You will enjoy some free time during your visit in Cassis to do some shopping - arts and crafts merchants, boutiques and cafés fill the quays around the port of the village. Return to the ship along the motorway. Please note: This excursion involves walking over cobblestone streets and uneven surfaces. Comfortable shoes are recommended. The little train is a shuttle to reach downtown, it is not a touristic train. The tour is not recommended for wheelchair guests and those with mobility concerns are cautioned to carefully evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability. The little train is working from May 1st to October 15th with stops at the Gorguettes Parking. A scenic 1-hour drive west from Palamos will bring you to the beautiful town of Girona, known as the Immortal City. At the very heart of the Jewish Quarter are the Arab Baths with their beautiful arches. In spite of the name, the construction of the baths is western Romanesque style. See the Bonastruch Ca Porta Museum on the site of the old synagogue, as well as the medieval walls of the city and the remains of the Gironella Tower, destroyed by Napoleon during his retreat in 1814. Palamos, Cycling to Pals

During this tour, you'll see a great diversity of scenary such as rough coves on the coasts, forests, fields and medieval villages ... and without much effort! You will leave the port with the e-bikes, and head towards la Fosca, a pretty little beach with beautiful views. Continue the route cycling along the greenway called "Ruta del Tren Petit ," which used to be a narrow-gauge railway line. Head north, where you'll cycle along agricultural roads. As a backdrop, appreciate les Gavarres, a mass of of hilly woodlands that is important for the production of cork. Cycle through the plain of the Empordà and finally arrive at the medieval village of Pals. Its old center is dominated by a Roman Tower built between the 11th and 13th centuries. You will find pebbled streets, half-point arches, facádes with ogive windows and stone balconies. The city wall has four square towers from the 4th century. From Pals you'll have great views to the rice fields of the Ter River plain and the Medes Islands in the sea.
