Board your motor coach for the 45-minute scenic drive to Monaco Rock where elevators and escalators take you up to the Old City. By the 16th century, the beleaguered village was fortified by ramparts, which still stand today. St. Paul De Vence has also retained its medieval charm, one of its primary draws. This haven for artists boasts a number of fine museums such as La Fondation Maeght , which features contemporary works from Braque and Giacometti, among others. The local artisans are highly regarded for their weaving, woodwork and jewelry pieces, which are on display in the many galleries. Start off your tour exploring the famous Nin Salt Works and Salt Museum. At the Nin Salt Works the salt is not produced by the machines nor by man. The salt is produced by the sun, sea and wind and is ecological, therapeutic, and biodynamic. On a small island in the middle of a shallow lagoon the small town of Nin can be found with its old center, connected to the mainland by two stone bridges. Nin has had an exciting past and today a lovely present. You will continue your day with a visit to the picturesque hills, home to the vineyards established in the extreme conditions, on the rocky soil. Top quality grapes from the stone vineyards and excellent wines are the results of a special microclimate, its position by the sea and a full day of direct sun exposure. Finish your excursion with an orientation tour discovering the historical and cultural monuments of Zadar. This walking tour will allow you to see the finest example of Romanesque architecture in Zadar, built in 1324 and dedicated to St. Anastasia. Further on your way you will pass by the Church of St. Donatus which is believed to have been built at the beginning of the 9th century. You will also see the 16th century St. Mary Church with a Romanesque bell-tower built at the beginning of the 12th century. Afterwards enjoy some free time before returning to your ship on your own. Zadar, Flavors & Sights of Zadar

Your tour will begin on the pier and soon you will find yourself in the heart of this magnificent Old Town. This walking tour includes a visit to the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, the finest example of Romanesque architecture in Zadar and built in 1324. It is dedicated to St. Anastasia, whose stone sarcophagus is in the apse to the left of the high altar. Further on your way you will pass close to the Church of St. Donatus which is believed to have been built at the beginning of the 9th century. It is circular in plan, with three naves. You will visit the 16th century St Mary Church with a Romanesque bell-tower built at the beginning of the 12th century. On the upper floor of the convent, open to the public are rooms containing a collection of goldsmith's work, relics and other valuable items. Your tour will end with a Marascino Liqueur Tasting. Liqueur production in Zadar is almost 400 years old. This liqueur is a bittersweet, clear liqueur flavored with Marasca cherries, which are grown in Dalmatia, Croatia, mostly around the city of Zadar. Honey is also part of the ancient recipe. The recipe for this liqueur was created by the apothecaries of the Dominican monastery at Zara, now Zadar, in Dalmatia, at the beginning of the 16th century. Please note: This tour involves an extensive amount of walking over cobbled and uneven surfaces, with 40 steps to reach the collection of goldsmiths' work inside the Church of St. Mary. Proper attire is required to enter the religious sites; shorts and bare shoulders are not permitted. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The tour sequence may vary.

Venice, Islands of Venetian Lagoon - Murano & Burano

Venice is composed of more than 100 tiny islets, packed closely together around canals. Venice city is in a lagoon, protected from the sea by a long strip of land. Today you will visit two islands-Murano and Burano. In 1291, when furnaces were banned from Venice as a fire precaution, the manufacturers of fine glassware were transferred to Murano. Glassware was one of the few Venetian exports and as such, the secrets of this skillful craft were tightly guarded. Today, the Murano products of blown-glass mirrors, chandeliers, goblets and intricate works of art are renowned worldwide. There will be time for a visit to one of the many glassblowing workshops and for shopping. The island of Burano has brightly painted houses decorating this small and cheerful fishing village. Burano is well known for its lace-making. In the 16th century, the lace industry was at its peak, and Burano was cited throughout Europe for producing the finest lace. You will have the chance to admire these beautiful works that require hours of labor, and maybe even purchase some, if you like. At the end, a motor launch will transfer you back to the yacht. Please note: Comfortable shoes, a hat, water, and sunscreen are recommended.

Venice, Mask Making Experience & St Marks Square

Experience the traditional art of Venetian mask making as you depart the pier to reach the Zattere area of Venice, walking by the Squero San Trovaso, the traditional boat house where gondolas are still built today. A short stroll through the narrow streets brings you to Ca’ Macana, one of Venice’s oldest and finest mask-making workshops, renowned worldwide for its quality and innovation, faithfully reproducing classic designs such as the bauta, moretta, harlequin, and Colombina. Their authenticity has earned recognition in films, theatre, and fashion, including Eyes Wide Shut, Fifty Shades of Grey, the Vienna Opera, and Vogue Japan. Dating back to 1271, the tradition of papier-mâché mask-making comes to life as you create and decorate your own mask under the guidance of a skilled craftsman. Afterward, continue your walking tour by crossing the Accademia Bridge, passing through charming streets, squares, and churches, before arriving at Venice’s most famous landmark, Piazza San Marco, where you’ll enjoy free time before returning to the ship by motor launch.
