What better way to learn of the history of Caribbean rum than in a fun and interactive class and then create and conceive your own bottle of flavored rum complete with label under the watchful and helpful eyes of experts in a 90- minute rum masterclass? You will be met at Falmouth jetty and driven the short distance to picturesque and historic Galleon Beach. Now the fun begins: experts will show you how to create truly exceptional and unique rum. They will take you through a selection of rum flavoring samples to help you create your own rum blend as unique as your imagination. The characteristics of rum are varied and unique. You will be taught the art of tasting and blending your rum during the distillation process to create a perfect bottle for you. Guests works with their own pot still to create a bottle of rum truly unique to them, distilled in the traditional West Indian way. By the end of the class you'll take away a 750ml bottle of your own exceptional bespoke rum. Once you've created your rum, you'll go through the bottling and labelling process to ensure it looks as distinctive as the rum you've created. Personalized labels and a wax sealed bottle ensure you can take your rum home safely and proudly share your one-of-a-kind creation. This tour has been created especially for Windstar's President and guests. You will be greeted at the pier by your professional Tour Guide for the start of this interesting tour and listen to your Guide through the Whisper Radio System for ease and clarity, so you miss nothing even for those with hearing aids as there are special adaptors! Your first stop will be at Betty's Hope. Built in 1674 by Sir Christopher Codrington, this was the site of one of the first full-scale sugar plantations on Antigua and is located just south of Pares Village. For more than 300 years, this prominent sugar plantation has played a leading role in, and influenced the lives of many generations of Antiguans. This is the only twin sugar mill, standing side by side in the Eastern Caribbean and has several renovated sugar trains used to transport sugar cane across the island which you can view and photograph. Your tour will continue to Devil's Bridge. For hundreds of thousands of years, the Atlantic's waves have crashed into the east coast of Antigua creating a natural arch, or bridge. Numerous geysers and blowholes surround the arch as waves continually break against the coastal rocks. In addition to being a natural phenomenon, Devil's Bridge also holds cultural importance in Antiguan history. A prehistoric, Amerindian site is located within its vicinity and suggests that prehistoric peoples may have used the area for fishing and settlement. Popular belief suggests slaves leapt to their death off of the natural arch during the period of slavery in Antigua. Devil's Bridge gets its name from these myths as the stories contend the devil claimed those who leapt off the bridge. Your tour will continue where you will hug the south coast line and drive past Darkwood Beach, Turner's Beach, Fryes Beach, Jolly Harbour, many secluded beaches, 5* hotels and exclusive homes through Fig Tree Drive, Antigua's lush rainforest area through Antigua's countryside, rich in daily West Indian life, local villages, and old churches, that exemplify West Indian culture. You'll stop for a quick snack at Claremont Farms before heading back to your ship. Please note: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. There is one step in and out of the bus. To start or end the day in the best way possible you should experience a relaxing and carefree morning or afternoon on the half-mile secluded white sand beach at Valley Church. The beach is beautiful, the water is warm and blue, and our experienced guides are on hand to make your day special. Board your air-conditioned taxi and drive approximately 30 -35 minutes to the famed Nest Beach Bar & Restaurant on Valley Church Beach. The beach here offers half a mile of soft white sand bordered by coconut palms and sea grape trees. You will be greeted on arrival with your complimentary drink, (rum punch or fruit punch) before you relax in a complimentary lounge chair in a specially designated area of the beach and sip on your welcome cocktail. Enjoy approximately 3 hours of relaxation while you soak up the sun, take a casual stroll along the beach, refresh yourself by swimming in the Caribbean Sea or treat yourself to a snack or an early lunch in the restaurant overlooking the sand and sea. Explore the pristine turquoise waters of Les Saintes during an eco-friendly excursion, aboard a clear-bottom kayak. With a short transfer by boat you will go to the kayaking base. After a safety briefing, begin your guided kayaking tour with your instructor along the most beautiful spot: Le Pain de Sucre. Paddle along the crystal-clear waters, see the exquisite seabed, tropical fishes and marine life. At your return to the base, enjoy a cocktail and return back to the pier. At your return to the base, enjoy a cocktail and free time on the beach. At your disposal are a beach chair, snorkeling equipment, kayak and others. You will head back to the pier by boat. Fort Napoleon has a rich history and is the setting for some of the most dramatic harbor views in the Caribbean. Join your English-speaking guide at the pier where a private shuttle will bring you to the gate at the top of Napoleon Hill . Afternoon entry to the fort allows a more intimate opportunity to enjoy the history of the fort, its gardens, and eclectic museum collection depicting life on the island over the last 2500 years. Following your guided tour of these areas, you will retreat to the original fort's kitchen where you will sample a variety of local, iconic foods including the famous local cakes. No Windstar tour in the Caribbean would be complete without a taste of rum and today you will sample the " Sun Rum " mixed on the island. When you are ready to leave you have the option to hike back to the town or take advantage of the shuttle service provided for you. Prepare for your voyage aboard an 80-foot sailing catamaran. Following a brief introduction and safety instructions, the captain will navigate you through the stunning bay. You'll sail through multiple islands, including Ilet Cabrit, Ilet Redonde, Grand Ilet, and Ilets les Augustins, before stopping near Pain de Sucre. Renowned for its tranquil, crystal-clear waters, Pain de Sucre offers the perfect opportunity for a delightful swim. After your stop, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary drink as you make your way back to the pier. This culinary delight will start with a boat ride from the pier to Pain de Sucre beach. You'll cross Les Saintes Bay, and your hostess will welcome you to the pontoon and take you on a culinary history tour of the island. Along the way, you'll taste punches and syrups, foie gras and duck breast toasts with Creole flavors, smoked fish, rum, and sweets with coffee and chocolate. After your food tour, you'll have time to relax in a lounge chair on the Pain de Sucre beach before heading back to the ship. Explore the seabeds of Terre de Bas and idyllic cove of Anse Fidelin during a guided snorkelling session in these warm, crystal-clear waters. Along the way, look for the colourful coral, sea turtles, tropical fish, and marine life that inhabit your exquisite surrounds. At the conclusion of your snorkelling session, embark the boat and relax with a refreshment during the short ride back to the pier. Relax and back to the pier. Depart from the pier with your guide by small bus to explore Terre-de-Haut. Drive through the village with its multicolored houses and Catholic Church towards the Caribbean coast. First photo stop on one of the most beautiful places of the Archipelago, Le Pain de Sucre, a 164-foot volcanic hill above sea level, whose steep slopes fall into Les Saintes Bay. Discover the cemetery made up of shells and look for iguanas. Then take pictures at Grande Anse Beach, well-known for the concert that nature offers when the waves crash. See the small airport where pilots must hold a special clearance and the panoramic view on Marigot Bay with its turquoise water. Please note: Wear comfortable and casual clothes and shoes and bring sunscreen sunglasses, a cap or hat and water.

Start your walk from the pier with your expert guide. Terre de Haut is a charming island well known for its colorful houses, transparent waters, and mountains. With your guide, you'll explore the village of Terre de Haut and learn about the heart of island life, visit the town hall square, walk past colorful fishermen's houses, and visit the local church. Before walking back to the boat, you'll have time to taste a Terre de Haut specialty, Tourments d/Amour, a round cake filled with jam. Please note : Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and local currency.

Admire the tropical beauty of Isles des Saintes with this panoramic sightseeing and snorkeling excursion.
