Established around 1689, Marigot is the attractive capital of French St. Martin, with its brightly colored houses, a lively open-air market, secluded beaches, and pretty waterfront promenade. Because of its tax-free status, Marigot is a popular center for duty-free shopping, where all of the world's most prestigious brands can be found.  Originally the area was marshy, and surrounded by mangroves. In the 1970s part of the bay was filled in to extend Marigot into a larger city with a marina. Overlooking Marigot is Fort St. Louis, the largest historical monument in St. Martin with an impressive panoramic view of the bay.

Willemstad, Caves and City Tour

With this tour you will have the opportunity to discover two highlights of Curacao, the Hato Caves and the famous City Center, which is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. After a short drive, you will arrive at the impressive Hato Caves. It is home to beautiful limestone formations, the famous Madonna statue, and a colony of seldom seen long nose fruit bats. A small path will lead you to a variety of stalagmites and stalactites. From here we drive back to the city where your walk through the city center will start. First you will visit the Curacao marketplace where the local people buy their food and ingredients. After this, you will pass by Curacao's former floating fruit & vegetable market, where Venezuelan schooners used to sell their products from their boats. Your last stop will be Fort Amsterdam, home to the governor of the Netherlands Antilles. This fort was constructed in 1634 and served as the military fort and headquarters for the Dutch West India Company (WIC). Afterwards, you'll pass the beautifully colored merchant houses on the quay of the harbor entrance on your way back to the ship. These houses provide a fantastic photo opportunity. Please note : we recommend you wear walking shoes and bring a hat and sunscreen.

Willemstad, Panoramic Tour

Willemstad, Naural Wonders with Snack

During this excursion you will have the opportunity to discover the diverse natural wonders that Curacao has to offer. Your tour will start with a drive to the west side of the island towards your first stop, Shete Boka National Park. This area is known for its strong surf, and you'll be mesmerized by how the waves explode on the coastal rock formations. Your second stop is Hofi Mango, one of Curacao's most diverse nature reserves and one of the best kept secrets on the island. After walking through the rainforest, you'll make your way to the Stairway to Heaven, where you'll find a spectacular panoramic view of the island. One you make your way back down from the viewpoint, you will stop at the on-property restaurant where you will be served a beef slider with a local twist and a homemade juice. Your last stop of the day will be at Cas Abao Beach, one of Curacaos most beautiful natural beaches known for its wide strip of white sand and warm, shallow waters. Willemstad, Walking Tour

Explore Willemstad architecture, pastel-colored buildings, and ornate facades on a guided walking tour of the historic city. The Curacao city center is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and offers many great photo opportunities. Your guided walking tour begins at the ship. After a short walk to the city center, you will pass the main square. From here, we will walk to the Hotel Kura Hulanda, which is one of the most well-known hotels in the Caribbean. The hotel utilizes restored buildings and is situated right on the Harbor of Willemstad. The old labor houses have been transformed into 5-star suites, giving this hotel a historic and luxurious feel. After your hotel visit, you will walk towards the famous floating bridge that connects both sides of the city with each other. From here, you'll cross the waterway and head to Willemstad's historic downtown district. See Fort Amsterdam, finished in 1635 this fort is now home to the governor. A beautiful church sits in the rear of the courtyard and various government buildings and old fortifications can still be seen amongst the seaside cafes and shops. Continue along Main Street, passing the former floating market where fresh fruits and vegetables were brought from Venezuela by schooner. Your knowledgeable guide offers island history and provides commentary throughout your tour. From the city center, you will have the ability to walk back to the ship, or you can stay in the city center and return at your leisure. See a different side of Curaçao on the Hato plains. This flat terrain is Curaçao's mini desert with its orange-colored sand. Our first stop will be at the historical Bull's eye - this site was used by the United States Air Force during World War II for bombing practice purposes. From our truck, you will have a birds eye view of this enormous training target. Next, we will visit the Bos di San Antonio Cave. Here, you will discover the different shapes and sizes of the impressive stalagmites and stalactites in this cave. After this stop we will drive past the enormous wind turbines that supply electricity to the island. Leaving the Curaçao desert, you will continue to Shete Boka National Park. The windier and rougher the weather, the better the show over here. Watch in awe as the waves explode on wild rock formations at Boka Tabla and view the startling spectacle that forms when waves get pushed through a narrow inlet at Boka Pistol. On your way back you will also pass by a flamingo habitat at the salt flats of Sint Michiel, where you might spot some flamingos from the truck. Your stable, sit-on-top kayak is equipped with a comfortable backrest seat, life vest, a waterproof bag for your personal belongings and, of course, paddles. Off you go, into the calm waters. You'll enjoy Bonaire's Caribbean shore as you kayak over shallow water, filled with colorful sea life. Keep an eye out for pelicans and turtles! Two guides will accompany you all the way. The bay is always protected from the elements. Your destination will be a beach in the southern part of the Bonaire Marine Park and an exquisite snorkeling place, excellent for all skill levels. Bonaire has a long history of marine preservation and is world renowned for its snorkeling. This area is the perfect spot to introduce yourself to its spectacular underwater sights! Pull your kayak right onto the sandy beach, and moments later you will be slipping into the warm water with your snorkel gear and enjoying the breathtaking coral and the many colorful tropical reef fish. As you float effortlessly in the crystal-clear water, look for fish like blue tangs, damsel fish and wrasses. Other sea life abounds, as well; if you're lucky, you may spot a hawksbill, a green turtle or perhaps even a seahorse. Board your motor coach at the pier. Your route will carry you north along the coast, past many of the island's fine vistas and dive sights. You will pass by Lake Goto (Goto Meer), the island's land-locked salt-water lagoon, for a look at the long-legged pink flamingos. Continue your drive across the island, passing by the fresh water well "Dos Pos" and through the village of Rincon , the oldest settlement in the ABC islands. Your first stop of the day will be in the village of Rincon, which was settled by the Spanish in the 16th century. The Samur is an authentic Siamese Junk, hand carved throughout with legends of fantasy and full of superstition fed by rituals thousands of years old. On this unique journey, you’ll be transported from your cruise ship pier to the Samur—either by Zodiac or a short stroll, depending on your docking location. You will set sail and glide smoothly under red sail to the beach of the uninhabited island of Klein Bonaire. During the sail the Captain will give information about the conditions at the reef (which creatures you will find) and the story about the Siamese Sailing Junk. You will be collected from the jetty next to your yacht's dock. Climb aboard the twin engine powerboat and enjoy a fun adventure. After a short safety briefing you will head north along Grenada's sheltered western coast. During your tour you will learn about the Spice Isle and also information on the ecology, wildlife, geography and local history of Grenada. The boat will stop for approximately 40 minutes so snorkelers can explore with a guide the world-famous underwater sculpture park of Grenada now listed as one of the Top 25 Wonders of the World by National Geographic . Bequia Snorkel Adventure

Set sail from Port Elizabeth Harbour on a scenic coastal cruise that reveals the heart and history of Bequia. As you glide along the shoreline, your guide shares stories of the island's deep-rooted heritage in fishing and traditional boat building — a craft still practiced here today. The  beautiful Bank Barrier coral reef wavers just beneath you as your ship makes the break to the bird sanctuary of Prickly Pear Island, so named because it is dotted with prickly pear cacti. Althought uninhabited, it does have a beach bar and water sports facilities. Not far away lies the curious assembly of house-sized boulders called "The Baths," which form huge underground pools and caverns

Virgin Gorda: Snorkel Adventure

Board a 36-foot Newton Dive Special vessel for a fun and relaxing cruise through the islands surrounding Virgin Gorda. Motor across the stunning Virgin Gorda waters with views of neighboring islands. The boat will moor at your first snorkel spot, chosen by the Captain as the best location for the day. The crew will assist with getting your snorkel gear ready, give a safety briefing and guide you in the water while pointing out interesting sea life. Once back on board, the Captain will pick out a second snorkel spot for you to enjoy. The tour will end with refreshments on board and a cruise back to shore in time for your beach barbecue. Please note: wear your swimsuit under your clothes, bring a towel, a dry t-shirt or sweatshirt, reef friendly sunscreen, waterproof camera (if you want to record the boulders ashore), and a hat. Participants must sign a waiver before departing the dock. Depending on weather and sea state the snorkel locations might have to be adjusted. Minimum age is 7 years. Board your open air safari bus at Gun Creek and wind up the hills to Gorda Peak where you will have the opportunity to photograph the impressive archipelago of the B.V.I. Your route will take you on down the spine of this beautiful island. From here you will drive to The Baths. These massive granite boulders stand out against powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters, so seize this chance to scramble through narrow gaps, intricate pools and passages which comprise this adventurous footpath before it opens out to the spectacular white sands of Devil's Bay. The beach at The Baths boasts an appealing bar, souvenir stand and restrooms. For those not physically inclined, you can still be witness to these dramatic batholiths should you take a drink at the Top of The Baths, or the less strenuous path direct down to Devils Bay. Before boarding the safari busses, sample a complimentary rum punch, punch or water at the gazebo above the Baths, and then enjoy the remainder of your circular island tour via Nail Bay with homes of the rich and famous and Hog's Heaven for some stunning shots of the ship anchored in North Sound. Please note : Wear your swimsuit under your clothes, bring reef-friendly sun screen, towel, camera, reef or aqua shoes to explore the Baths, flip-flops are not recommended. This tour is not recommended for those with mobility issues. Use caution while walking down the trail and through the boulders in the caves. Path is uneven and slippery. On some days expect crowds.
