Quebec City, Historic Quebec with Montmorency Falls

You will discover the charm and character of the Old Town as you explore the historic landmarks followed by a brief journey along the St-Lawrence River to view the spectacular scenery surrounding Montmorency Falls. You will start your tour at Dufferin Terrace located 200 feet above the waterway. From here you will have a spectacular view of the St. Lawrence River, Île d'Orléans, and the Laurentian Mountains. You will also drive by one of Québec's most celebrated landmarks, the Château Frontenac . Make a stop in Place-Royale a beautifully restored market square of typical 17th and 18th century stone architecture at the heart of the Lower Town. It is the location of the oldest standing Catholic church in North America, Notre-Dame-des-Victoires. Find National Battlefields Park, also known as the Plains of Abraham, this park was the site of the historic battle where the French surrendered to the British in 1759. You will take a 30-minute drive to the Apple Orchard Pomeloi, the only one located on the archipelago characterized by a variety of products, smallness and its ecological follow up. The owner, Éloi Vigneau is passionate about agriculture and in 2008, he opened the Orchard and started to produce different ciders, working in harmony with nature, taking advantage of the exceptional yeast produced by fruits grown in salty sea air. The juice is slowly cold-fermented to bring out the finest flavors and aromas to create four elixirs: "l'Enchanteur de pommes," "le Chouchen," "l'Escarbille" and "le Pomeloi" (with an apple in the bottle). Then it's a short 15-minute drive to the Musée de la Mer. The mission of the Musée de la Mer is intimately associated with these maritime and insular people. Take in the beautiful scenery of Mid-Coast Maine, enjoy time on your own to explore the picturesque seaside village of Camden, and visit the Farnsworth Art Museum featuring some of the greatest names in 19th century American art with its collection of over 10,000 paintings, sculptures and watercolors. You will board your motor coach for the 10-minute drive to the museum.
