15 Nights on Wind Spirit

Few voyages pack this much Mediterranean into a single sailing. From Dubrovnik's ancient stone walls to the gilded canals of Venice, from the fjord-like bay of Kotor to the cliffside lemon groves above Sorrento, this 15-night Adriatic journey moves through three countries and some of Europe's most storied coastline at a pace that lets you actually feel each port. Two overnight stays, one in Venice, one in Sorrento, mean full days of unhurried exploration: a morning in Venice's Rialto markets, an afternoon drifting between the Doge's Palace and a hidden “bacaro” (wine bar); or a day on Capri, a morning in Pompeii, and an evening aperitivo back on Sorrento's clifftop terrace. Late-night departures from Dubrovnik, Otranto, and Messina extend your time ashore even further, dinner in the Old Town, a dusk stroll along Otranto's harbor, a late swordfish pasta in Sicily as the lights come on across the Strait. Along the way, Croatia's Dalmatian islands unspool one by one: lavender-scented Hvar, Roman Zadar, the terracotta rooftops of Split, the Venetian-era campanile of Rovinj. Then Montenegro's Kotor, arguably the Adriatic's most dramatic arrival, its medieval walls climbing sheer limestone above a bay that looks more Norwegian fjord than Mediterranean sea.
