Journey from Southern Italy to the Istrian Coast on this Italian charms & Croatian Coastline cruise. You’ll start in Vibo Valentia to see the beaches of Southern Italy. You can visit the Bronze Statues of Riace Warriors in Reggio Calabria. Next, stop in Taranto to gaze at Greek ruins. In Otranto, you will have a chance to see the historic conical homes in Alberobello. From Puglia, you will detour to the island of Rab in the Northern Dalmatia region of Croatia. Walk through Rovinj’s cobblestone streets up to the St. Euphemia Cathedral. Have an overnight in Dubrovnik. Your Calabrian to Istria pilgrimage continues in Montenegro, as you sail the fjord that leads to Kotor, a UNESCO site. Your final stop is in Piran, Slovenia. Take a tour to Lake Bled and visit Bled Church on an island in the middle of the lake. Your expedition ends in Venice, where you can explore the city at your own pace.

In this enchanting city the past and present intersect in perfect harmony. Pretty Xlendi Bay lies on the west coast of Gozo, an island long thought to be the mythical Ogygia of Homer's Odyssey. In the story, Calypso fell in love with Odysseus and held him captive for seven years.. The reputed Calypso Cave is just one of several intriguing caves on the island. There's also Caroline's Cave, a natural grotto that was once a private swimming hole for nuns. Surprisingly for such a small island, Gozo is home to the oldest freestanding temples in the world, the Ggantija Temples, nestled among the rolling green hills. You should also visit the Citadella, a small, fortified town that houses the island's Cathedral, the Museum of Archaeology, the Folklore Museum, and the Old Prisons.

In the story, Calypso fell in love with Odysseus and held him captive for seven years.. The reputed Calypso Cave is just one of several intriguing caves on the island. Gozo, Highlights of Gozo

The tour begins with a scenic drive across the island, heading toward Dwejra on the southwestern coast. This area was once home to the famous Azure Window, or "It-Tieqa" as it's called locally, a natural limestone arch formed by sea erosion over thousands of years. Sadly, in 2017, a powerful storm destroyed this iconic landmark, returning it to the sea. Next, guests will visit the Ta' Pinu Shrine, a Roman Catholic minor basilica and national shrine dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu. Located about 700 meters from the village of Gharb on Gozo, Malta's sister island, the basilica sits in the peaceful countryside, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It holds deep national significance for the people of Gozo. The tour then proceeds to Victoria, the island's capital, where guests will explore the Citadel, also known as the "Gran Castello." Built in the 15th century by the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem, the Citadel served as both a fortress and refuge for locals during attacks by Turks and Corsairs. Afterward, guests will be taken to the Ggantija Temples, an extraordinary megalithic complex. These temples, among the largest free-standing prehistoric structures in the world, date back to around 3600 BC and are part of Malta's ancient temple sites, known to be the oldest in the world. Despite being over 5,000 years old, they remain remarkably well-preserved, offering insight into a mysterious culture whose origins continue to baffle historians. You will walk through the narrow streets of the town, visit St Paul's Cathedral, the Ramparts for a panoramic view, and Palazzo Falson, the best preserved palazzo of its period. Walk down any Maltese street in the town core, with its sheer limestone walls, studded doors and wooden 'gallarijas', and you will get few clues to what lies on the other side of these crumbling facades. This splendid archaeological park consists of eight temples (and various other remains) built between about 510 B.C. and 430 B.C. After a short drive to the cable station, you'll take the cable car up to the top of a mountain. The city of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was founded around the 4th century B.C., copying the geometric regularity of the layout of Naples. Its "decumani" (main streets) have an east-west orientation, while the "cardines" (narrower streets) run north-south. There is undeniably a "feeling" about Herculaneum, quite different from Pompeii, where you get the impression that its ancient population of 5,000 packed up and left only moments ago. Herculaneum was smaller than Pompeii but is better preserved simply because, while hot ashes consumed the wood of Pompeii's buildings, Herculaneum was covered by hot mud which sealed and protected entire city blocks. This means that marble floors, mosaics, paintings and carbonized woods can still be admired today. Giardini Naxos, Castelmola & Taormina

Founded in the 6th century B.C. by Greeks from Naples, Taormina was subsequently taken over by the Romans. Many of its narrow cobblestone streets are closed to traffic, making the main part of Taormina accessible only by foot. Your guide will take you on a guided walk that includes the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele and the bustling main street of Corso Umberto , lined with former mansions of enchanting architecture and balconies that brim with flowers. Stop briefly in the inner courtyard of the medieval Corvaja Palace and enjoy the panoramic views of the bay and snow-capped Mount Etna in the distance as you gaze from the balcony of Piazza IX Aprile. Follow your guide up the narrow street that leads to the Greco-Roman Theatre . Taormina's most famous antique dates back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries B.C. and still hosts performances today. Flavors & Aromas of Dalmatia

Depart Trogir by motor coach to the Stella Croatica Ethno Village , a family run producer of traditional Dalmatian delicacies. Begin with a walk through the orchard and olive grove along a winding stone path through the middle of a garden and further through Aroma Park, rich with aromatic herbs and spices specific to Dalmatia. You will be served a welcome drink of liquor made from cherries while your hostess explains the elements of the stone village there. You will see the old way of life, unit by unit; fireplace, wine cellar, sleeping room. You will see basic parts of the houses with all the furniture and equipment that was used in them. Krka National Park Highlights

Leaving the town of Trogir, you will take a 75-minute drive by coach to the famous Krka River Waterfalls . Located in lovely Krka National Park , the falls cascade over 17 natural barriers. Krka is one of the seven National Parks in Croatia and was formed to protect the Krka River. The whole area is rich with endemic species - vegetation as well as birds and fish. This tour will take you to the most attractive part of the park - the Skradinski Buk Waterfalls. The highest waterfall is 151 feet high which makes it the highest gypsum barrier in Europe . Above the falls there is a large plateau that offers spectacular views of the area. Your guided visit to the park will include a small ethnological exhibit and the old mill which is still in use.There is a path around the falls and you will have two hours of free time to explore before your 75-minute drive back to Trogir. The Old Town of Split is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century. Your walking tour starts at the Palace where the Cathedral of St. Duje sits in the center of Split. Other sites include the Golden Gate , the Silver Gate , and the Peristyle Square .
