Malaga Panoramic Tour

Málaga is located in the center of the Costa del Sol. Many ancient civilizations have left their marks, which you will discover in Málaga's rich archaeological remains and fascinating monuments. From the outside. you will admire the beautiful architecture of the Alcazaba Palace, a historic castle built in the 11th century to be the residence of the Arabian Caliphs or Kings. See from the outside Gibralfaro Castle, built in the 14th century, constructed by Yusuf I of Granada in the city of Malaga, on an old Phoenician enclosure that also contained a light that gives name to the Gibralfaro Hill (Jbel-Faro, or Mounts of the Light). You will also admire the ruins of the former Roman Theater of Malaga, on the base of the hill of the Fortress, Alcazaba, followed by a short, guided walking tour from Plaza de la Merced for those guests who want to walk. Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Malaga by Segway

Some things are just plain fun and riding a Segway around Spain definitely falls into that category. It takes a few minutes to get the hang of it; then you'll never want to get off! You'll begin your ride (after an introduction to the operation of the Segway) at Plaza de la Marina, in the center of Málaga. Continue to Larios Street, the main shopping avenue of the city, then on to Merced Square, at the end of Calle Alcazabilla, to see the obelisk erected as a tribute to General Torrijos, currently the headquarters of the Picasso Foundation. Next you will ride to the Santiago Church, built on the site of a former mosque and Málaga's oldest church (founded in 1490). You'll also visit the Roman Theatre, discovered in 1951, which was built in the time of Caesar Augustus and used until the 3rd century A.D. After that time, it was used as a quarry by the Moors to restore the Alcazaba, which is the next stop on your tour. This impressive building, constructed mainly in the 11th century, was the palace/fortress of the ruling Muslims. Continuing on your tour, you'll see the Catedral de la Encarnacion, Bishop Square, and the Paseo del Parque, before returning to Marina Square. Please note: This tour is not possible for people confined to wheelchairs. The minimum age to participate is 18 and participants must weigh between 66 and 265 pounds. Helmets will be provided. Participants must sign a waiver to go on this excursion.

Tangier, The Best of Chaouen

Tangier is a fascinating Moroccan city to visit. It has many of the things that travelers love - a sense of exotic mystery, interesting history, beautiful vistas, unspoiled beaches, and friendly people. It is an interesting mix of North Africa, Spanish, and French cultures. You will have a 2-hour drive via Cap Malabata and Tetouan toward Chefchaouen for some sightseeing. You will start your tour with the inside visit of the Old Kasbah in the medina. The Kasbah of Chefchaouen was built in the early 18th century by the legendary ruler Moulay Ismail. On the outskirts of the town is where you will find the famous Caves del Drach are located. The Caves of Drach are the most popular caves with tourists. There are three main caves, Cueva Negra (Black Cave), Cueva Blanca (White Cave) and Cueva Luis Salvator, at the end of which is a place called La Ventana (the window). Tarragona: Walking Tour

You will board your motor coach for the short ride to beautiful Tarragona, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your walking tour will start at the Roman walls with the three old towers that still remain in Tarragona: Arquebisbem, Minerva and Cabiscol Towers. The walls were constructed with megalithic blocks of stone and used to be 2.5 miles long. Your tour will continue past the Cathedral, considered to be a rare example of a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic architecture since it was constructed between the 12th- 14th centuries. One of the highlights of this Cathedral is the main façade, which is still unfinished, and has an impressive rose-colored glass window. The Benedictine Monastery of Montserrat was founded in the 11th century and is located in a natural park 37 miles west of Barcelona. Besides visiting the Benedictine Abbey Monastery, you will admire also the Patron of Catalonia, Saint Mary of Montserrat that is worshiped at the shrine in the Monastery. The Benedictine community, now numbering some 80 monks, has served the shrine for almost 1,000 years. Lucca was originally colonized by Romans and has retained its layout of a Roman military camp with its two main streets running perpendicular to one another. Coupled with a complicated system of narrow alleys and oddly-shaped squares, this was a difficult town to penetrate. Beginning in the 1550s, Lucca became an important agricultural center and experienced a renewed interest in building and infrastructure due to its population increase. The group will then proceed to Villa Sonnino, where they will join the hunters and their trained dogs for a 45-minute truffle hunt, guided by experts. After the hunt, guests return to the Savini factory to savor a delicious truffle-themed lunch.
